Coronavirus (COVID-19) FAQ

Dear Redmond Ridge Community,

Considering the current situation around Coronavirus in the state and guidance from Washington governor to stay away from crowded places, RIA volunteer team has decided to cancel the Festival of color event this year. Last two days the team also reached out to community members who have purchased tickets. The team sent them a survey to see if the community members felt safe attending the event in current situation. The survey results clearly show the concerns among the community members as everyone suggested we cancel the event. We are very thankful for community members who responded to the survey.

Safety of our community is highest priority for RIA team and hence RIA team has met and based on the data, guidance and responses in the survey, the team have made this decision. RIA team ask the community members to stay safe and help each other so together we can overcome the current situation.

It’s important that everyone takes steps to reduce the spread of Coronavirus, especially to protect those who are more vulnerable. Steps you can take to prevent spread of flu and the common cold will also help prevent Coronavirus:
  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If not available, use hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home while you are sick and avoid close contact with others.
  • Cover your mouth/nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing.

We understand the uneasiness that many families are experiencing, and we sincerely appreciate everyone, as we work together to keep our community safe for everyone.
